I have a few old favourites like the B4, but recently getting into the sounds of the Imageline Toxic III http://www.imageline.com/documents/toxiciii.html

It's relatively easy to edit too which is nice. Some plugins like Absynth are great sounding but seem way too complicated to go far beyond presets...

I bought it... only thing "wrong" (and this may explain the low price) is that the last two letters of Ultra Analog are missed off when you load it up as a VST...

The Thor synthesizer in Reason though not a VST and then Absynth ... !

Absynth to me can be as simple or complicated as you program it. It can behave as a " normal " subtractive synth but also as something far beyond hardware synthesizers.
